How to Improve and Maintain Your Mind-Body-Spirit Health
“It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain an idea without accepting it.” ~Aristotle
Health is the natural state of being and it is a mind-body-spirit experience. We use our minds to assimilate useful knowledge that then becomes actions we take with our bodies. We begin to recognise and embrace the connection we have with all things and all beings (spirituality), we embrace non-violence and oneness, we act accordingly, and that in turn liberates our minds and bodies from cognitive dissonance, suffering, and disease. We connect our minds and our bodies with thoughts and actions that ultimately fortify our spirits, and all of these things work together to ensure our holistic health.
Few people make this mind-body-spirit connection more clear than Dr. Will Tuttle, author of the best-selling book The World Peace Diet. Here is his interview with my good friend, Janine Bandcroft, on her brilliant podcast, Plant Powered Radio:
It is essential that the beliefs that you live by are supported by self-education. When you find yourself resonating with certain information, pay close attention, and continue to assimilate new information around that idea. Then listen to the counter arguments. Then recognise your own biases and adjust accordingly.
Then make up your own mind.
One of my most important discoveries of 2020 was information about the microbiome. According to Wikipedia:
“The human microbiome is the aggregate of all microbiota that reside on or within human tissues and biofluids along with the corresponding anatomical sites in which they reside, including the skin, mammary glands, seminal fluid, uterus, ovarian follicles, lung, saliva, oral mucosa, conjunctiva, biliary tract, and gastrointestinal tract. Types of human microbiota include bacteria, archaea, fungi, protists and viruses.”
We are all walking around with more microbiota cells in our bodies than what we consider to be human cells. We are more “garden” than “human.” Although I was not unaware of the microbiome prior to 2020, certain new information about this massive element of our existence and its importance to the health of human beings, became much more clear to me through the information put forth most notably by Dr. Zach Bush.
Other than the absolute essentialness of veganism for human (and planetary) mind-body-spirit wellness, no single video has had more of an impact on my ideas of health than Dr. Bush’s “Virome Webinar.” Just as bearing witness to the holocaust of animal agribusiness by viewing Earthlings and/or Dominion and/or Seaspiracy is absolutely essential to the understanding of the intrinsically destructive nature of non-veganism, assimilating information about the microbiome is absolutely essential to understanding the importance of the microbiome for human health. This is especially important now that we are in the midst of a profoundly troubling dominant narrative fuelling global mandates by billionaires who are using human health to justify their totalitarian actions. (Incidentally, a whole-foods ORGANIC plant-based diet is the best diet for your microbiome as well as for your mind-body-spirit health. Win-win-win!)
In short, you won’t understand why veganism MUST BE without getting the information contained in brilliant documentaries like Dominion, Earthlings, Cowspiracy, and Seaspiracy, and you won’t understand why a healthy relationship to the microbiome is essential without absorbing the information in this video:
“Zach Bush MD: The Virome Webinar Replay”
Humanity – as well as all of nature and all beings – has been victimised by the profit-driven dominant narrative around health for generations, but we are now at a tipping point in that narrative. As millions of people (and non-humans) are injured or killed by pharmaceuticals that are supposed to be protecting us or making us better, it has never been more important that we conduct our own research and use our own critical thinking skills to inform our decisions for ourselves and for our children.
As vegans, we have clear advantages in these troubling times. My personal battle with the SARS-CoV-2 infection was much easier than it has been for many others, and I credit my healthy lifestyle – especially my plant-based diet – for my triumph. I am 100% vegan and 100% jab-free. On the worst day of my bout, I pulled weeds in my garden – simultaneously pumping my body full of enriching microbiota while basking in the absolute best source of vitamin D (the sun, naturally). I took a few paracetamol on the insistence of my fiancee, but ultimately I surrendered myself to the miracle that is my body’s natural immune system, spending the rest of the day in bed letting the magic of fever, rest, and fresh air do its thing. I’m happy to report a full recovery and I am thrilled to know that I now have the best possible immunity one can have to any infection – the one my own immune system created itself through the same process of human-viral evolution humanity has known for millennia before “science saved us all.”
Also, as a vegan, I have the time-tested and essential ability to question dominant narratives. Most of us vegans were indoctrinated at very early ages to believe lies like “milk does a body good” and beef is “real food for real people.” As vegans, we’ve escaped that kind of narrative and we (and the animals we save, and the rest of the world) are better off for it.
What other narratives might be serving only those who profit from these kinds of lies?
While it remains very important that we are skeptical of new information, it is essential that we rise above our ad hominem prejudices and knee-jerk emotional reactions to those things that may have past (or present) negative associations to certain people or certain politics. The so-called liberal media (CNN, NPR, et al) has done such an impeccable job of connecting “anti-vaxxers”- and pretty much any kind of treatment for SARS-CoV-2 that isn’t the jab – with so-called conservatives, that many so-called liberals will simply reject any new information they may come across if they’re told or are led to believe “that’s a right-wing thing.” The so-called liberal media has a self-appointed monopoly on defining what types of information and media are “misinformation” (they also have an unprecedented amount of power over censoring any type of dissenting view, especially in the US).
This type of totalitarian behaviour should be, in and of itself, reason enough to question the narratives of the very institutions crying “misinformation!” and “Science!” and begin to seek out information outside the dominant narrative.
And yet, never in history have I seen this level of complacency to this kind of fascism from people who self-describe as liberal. Even my own parents, who have fought “the man” their entire lives, are lining up for the jab and regurgitating the rhetoric of The New World Order. It took our whole lives and generations of misinformation to convince us that the exploitation and slaughter of trillions of animals every year was “okay.” In a matter of mere months, social activists of all kinds – even so-called vegans – are falling for, and reiterating, the fear propaganda and misinformation put forth by the same people they have been fighting their whole lives. It’s astonishing. It’s terrifying. It’s shameful. It’s herd insanity, and it needs to stop if any of us (who aren’t trillionaires) are ever to be free in any kind of way ever again.
Simply put, never in history has it been more essential to do your own research and exercise your own ability to think critically. You have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain by making up your own mind instead of simply buying the party line. It might, indeed, be the only thing that saves us.
What we are experiencing right now is the ultimate and inevitable expression of a world that commodifies violence. Throughout history, we’ve seen that certain humans, certain species, and certain geographical locations are entirely expendable so long as there is money to be made. The plandemic has proven to be the most profitable venture in all of history, and the reason is because absolutely everyone and everything is now expendable.
This means YOU.
Because totalitarianism is the ultimate expression of a violent, profit-driven civilisation, the time has come to break out of any prejudices you may have acquired that have their root in the narrative that ultimately only serve the totalitarians. The time has come for you to put your prejudices aside and seek out new information. In fact, the very things that may historically have had profound negative emotional associations for you just might be the very dirt in which you should now be digging.
Misinformation is most definitely a thing, but who gets to decide what is misinformation and what isn’t? Do you believe that you have any say in that, or will you simply look to the tribe that you think you belong to for your definition? Do you have such faith in those who dominate the narrative that you will simply buy what they tell you to buy, shame who they tell you to shame, and ignore what they tell you to ignore?
It is my adamant opinion that a series of videos on YouTube produced by “After Skool” contain some of the most important philosophical ideas of our time. Considering the censorship frenzy that YouTube is now engaging in, I’m surprised that such important ideas manage to skate through. Hopefully they will remain up long enough for you witness them. Here is a short list of some of my favourites:
Mass Psychosis: How an Entire Population Becomes MENTALLY ILL
Alan Watts: The Illusion of MONEY, TIME, and EGO
War on DRUGS or a War on the MIND?
Russell Brand: How to Have Mental Clarity in an Unclear World
When you take charge of your information, you take charge of your mind. When you take charge of your mind, you take charge of your life, and you begin to take charge of your health. Taking charge of your life means taking responsibility for it. Make no mistake: There is no freedom without personal responsibility. Take back your mind by taking back your responsibility for what informs you and you will begin to find, and fortify, your mind-body-spiritual health.
Eat a whole-food organic plant-based diet. Get outside. Take off your mask and breath deeply in uncorrupted natural environments. Hug people deeply. Sing together. Dance together. Get good, restful sleep. Practice yoga and meditation. Spend time thinking about how you are not the sum of your thoughts. Escape your cognitive dissonance by no longer participating in violence against our non-human brothers and sisters (go vegan). Become aware that your body is a garden that must be nurtured. Bask in the sun. Grow your own food. Walk if you got 'em; roll if you don't. Smile. Laugh. Dream. Turn off your devices.
DO NOT COMPLY.
